Hi Guys
Bought an HP iPAQ (hz2190) from a local boot sal
(i know :-(. You only get what you pay for). Works ok except ActiveSync i
missing. No ASync folder- nothing- on the iPAQ. I can swap items via bluetoot
and storage card but cant sync with Outlook. I can and have- downloade
ActiveSync to the PC but need to install it on the iPAQ (cab file?). as fo
reasons unknown its been completely removed. Any ideas anyone as to how i ca
obtain and install ActiveSync onto the iPAQ

Thanks in advance for any help

You can't install Activesync on the device. The mobile version is in the
device ROM and intergrated in the OS- it doesn't exist as a
standalone .cab file.

It's very unlikely yours is actually missing. More likely the shortcut
to it has just been deleted. In File Explorer (on the device) tap and
hold on a blank space (below the list of files) and select "Show All
Files" if it's not already checked, and look for "async" in \Windows. If
there, tap and hold and select "copy," then navigate to \Windows\Start
Menu\Programs, tap and hold (on blank space) and select "Paste Shortcut."
