My client is running Exchange 2003 SP2. When they go to the Mobile Admin page
they can bring up the user's device just fine. But when they try to do the
remote wipe the page hangs for about 2 minutes and then they get the
following:
Server Error in '/MobileAdmin' Application.
Request timed out.
An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web
request.
Exception Details: System.Web.HttpException: Request timed out
Stack Trace:
[HttpException (0x80004005): Request timed out.]
If they do this more than twice then all activesync connectivity (for all
devices) seems to fail and you can no longer use the Mobileadmin utility (503
error) and we find that the Exchange Application pool under IIS becomes hung
necessitating a restart of the IISAdmin service (and dependent services);
I have asked them to de-install and re-install the latest Activesync Admin
software - but there was no difference in functionality - including after a
reboot.
What else can I check? I see no security problems - and all configurations
on IIS virtual directories appear correct.
One final note - the server is web published behind an ISA 2004 firewall;
Apart from the wipe feature - all synchronization with the iPhone devices
works fine.
