Windows Mobile 5.0 and PDF
(too old to reply)

I have SmartPhone (QTek 9100) and I am unable to read PDF files with it. The
ClearVuePDF sofware doesn't work.
Is there a reader (from Adobe or else) which suits my OS version which is
Windows Mobile 5.0, and where can I find it?
Help appreciated.

Use Adobe's own, free PDA reader app.

Take note of the earlier posts about install issues. If at first you don't
succeed try cradling and uncradling the devise a few times to give active
sync a chance or use the cabs for install. Werner has posted about this many
times recently.

Thanks for your answers.

The issue is that:
1) I downloaded Adobe Reader fo Pocket PC 2.0 and I wanted to be sure it's
the most recent version; in fact, at the Install, it tells me that "this
program may not work since it's meant to be used with an earlier version of
WIndows Mobile (2002, or 2003);
2) PDF files don't open on my Qtek after the install, so I wondered if there
was not another product more suitable.

Regards
Nicolas

1. it is
2. you mean no PDF reader is invoked when you click a PDF file? A quick
search in my blog, as usual, reveals the solution:

1. it is
It's probably the installer programmed to bive this message, not that
program itself shouldn't work on a later OS.

It works on my WM 5.0 Ipaq. When you sync tghe PDF files are you
syncing through Activesync? I believe Activesync has to modify the
file in order to use it.

WM 5.0 on an Ipaq HX 2495. Adobe Reader 2.0. Activesync 4.1.

Did you check the PDF file on the desktop to make sure it is a
working PDF file? (I went to download a PDF file I couldn't read
on the PPC, low and behold the desktop download of the PDF was
0.00 in size.
